Plan for health care development in Gia Lai 2001-2010

The construction of the "General plan for health care development in Gia Lai" is very important and necessary. It will be the basis for effective investment and development decisions, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province and the HighLand area in the next years, while still saving human and material resouces of the province and the area.

In order to construct the plan, the authors have analysed physical and socio-economic characteristics, population, education and culture, as well as the real situation of health of the province (epidemiology, facilities, human resources, other resources...), then identified the advantages and the issues that need consideration. The authors also anticipated socio-economic development of Gia Lai province based o­n the basic indicators of development of the province in order to construct a comprehensive plan for health care development in Gia Lai for the period 2001-2010. The orientation and specific objectives have also been statedin the plan. The plan has been approved by the People's Committee of Gia Lai province and has been carried out.
