Quick assessment of the implementation results “Renovating style, service attitude of health workers towards the satisfaction of patients” according to Decision No. 2151 / QD-BYT dated 04/6/2015 (18/07/2016)

Satisfaction of service users is an important indicator denotes the quality and operating efficiency of the providers of medical services. To contribute to improving the quality of provided health care services throughout the country; on 04/6/2015, the Ministry of Health has issued Decision No. 2151 / QD-BYT on the approval of the implementation plan, “Renovating style, service attitude of health workers towards the satisfaction of patients”.


Workshops for construction consultancy of basic health service packages in Vietnam (20/04/2016)

In the framework of construction activities for basic health service packages in Vietnam, under the direction of Deputy Minister of Health - Prof. Ph.D. Pham Le Tuan, the Health Strategy and Policy Institute held a consultation workshop for construction consultancy of basic health service packages in Vietnam on 31/3/2016 in Ha Noi. The objective of the workshop is to unify the concept, scope and approaches in building basic health service packages based on the health insurance payments. Hosted the workshop was Prof. Ph.D. Pham Le Tuan, Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Nguyen Minh Thao - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Insurance. Participants of the workshop include representatives of the Ministry of Finance; representatives the Ministry of Health; Department of Military Medical and the Social Insurance Agency - Ministry of Defence; Department of Health - Ministry of Public Security; the Department of Health in Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Bac Ninh; the Central Hospital; the provincial hospital, district hospital, private hospital; and the Association/Organization domestic and international.


Deploying activities assessing the situation of violence in the workplace for public health workers in Thanh Hoa province (06/04/2016)

On 14/3/2016, union officials and researchers of the Health Strategy and Policy Institute and Vietnam National Union of Health Workers has continued to deploy activities to assess the situation of violence at some health facilities in Thanh Hoa province in the framework of research projects in collaboration between the Institute, Vietnam National Union of Health Workers and the Department of Personnel and Organisation, the Ministry of Health.


Conference of social science and policy research promoting industrialization and modernization period 2005-2015 and the next phase orientation (28/03/2016)

On 19/03/2016, in Hanoi, the Supervision Delegation of the National Assembly Standing Committee held a Conference of Social Sciences and Policy Research promoting industrialization and modernization period 2005- 2015 and the next phase orientation. Participants in the conference included representatives from the National Assembly, the leaders of some ministries, the Central Council, leaders of universities, research institutes and scientists, researchers across the country.


The Health Strategy and Policy Institute participated in completing planning replication and developing family physician model in Vietnam for the period of 2016-2020. (28/03/2016)

Within the framework of planning replication and developing family physician model in Vietnam for the period of 2016-2020, The Health Strategy and Policy Institute in collaboration with the Department for Management of Medical Service, Ministry of Health carried out a number of preparatory activities. Besides the the contents worked with other Departments of the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Social Insurance, the working groups with Prf. Recep Akdag, former Ministry of Health of Turkey, conducted survey of operational situation models GP clinic in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and Yen Bai. Thereby, providing the information necessary for Prf. Recep Akdag to contribute ideas for completing planning replication and developing family physician model in Vietnam, at the proposal of the Minister of Health - Nguyen Thi Kim Tien.


The Intensive Survey Research Methodology Training Workshop 2016 (04 – 28/01/2016, Khon Kaen, Thailand) (18/02/2016)

The Intensive Survey Research Methodology Training Workshop 2016 (The ISRMT Workshop 2016) was a training program of the Social Survey Center (SSC) at College of Local Administration (COLA), Khon Kaen University, Thailand. This course was financially supported by The Rockefeller Foundation in Bangkok and Khon Kaen University.


Sharing workshop on international experience in the development of family physician model in providing services to strengthen primary health care (12/01/2016) (15/01/2016)

The primary objective of the health system in which each country including Vietnam is aiming for a sustainable development through the implementation of health care for the entire population, that is ensuring that all citizens need can be use of advanced health services, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and palliative care quality and efficiency while ensuring that the use of these services does not make users encounter to financial risks. To accomplish this goal, the decisive factor is the health care system should be based on the foundation of primary health care through the strengthening of grassroots health care network.


Research Assessment 1 year results of implementation of Circular No. 14/2014 / TT-BYT prescribed of referrals among health care facilities in some provinces (08/01/2016)

In recent years, hospital overcrowding in central hospitals and provincial hospitals in large cities has caused a sensation in society. To remedy these shortcomings, the Ministry of Health has advised the Prime Minister to promulgate synchronous solutions: Scheme reduce hospital overcrowding period 2013 - 2020, the scheme Satellite Hospital, Project 1816, scheme family doctor (GP), ... Along with the above measures, tightening regulations on transit is regarded as one of the important measures to reduce the load for the regional hospital.
