Research Assessment 2-year results of implementation scheme Satellite Hospital in the 2013-2020 period (08/12/2015)

In recent years, with the interest of the Party, the Government, at all levels and sectors, the efforts of the health sector with the help of international organizations; Health system in our country in general and the network of clinics in particular have achieved many important accomplishments. However, besides the achievements gained, Clinical areas in our country is still faced with many difficulties and challenges: infrastructure and equipment of many hospitals, especially these hospitals have deteriorated, the shortage of health workers with technical expertise in the medical facility at lower levels are still quite popular and lasting many years to affect the quality of treatment and patient care, hospital overcrowding still frequently occur, mainly concentrated in the big cities…


Workshop on sharing experience on developing department of social work in the hospital and preliminary implementation of developing social work profession in the health sector for 2011-2020 (02/12/2015)

On 23/11/2015 at Nha Trang City, the Health Strategy and Policy Institute in collaboration with the Department of Personnel and Organisation, Ministry of Health held a Workshop on sharing experience on developing department of social work in the hospital and preliminary implementation of developing social work profession in the health sector for 2011-2020 under the chairmanship of Prof. Nguyen Viet Tien, Deputy Minister of Health, Chairman’s scheme developing social work profession in the health sector


Annual Meeting of the Research Project on Health System (RESYST - Resilient & Responsive Health Systems) (30/10/2015)

From 13 to 17 October, 2015, at Daewoo Hotel, Hanoi, the Health Strategy and Policy Institute in collaboration with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) held the 5th Annual Meeting of the Research Project on Resilient & Responsive Health System (RESYST). The aim of the conference is to share experience and enhance the capacity of the member countries of the project on research and health policy formulation: health financing; health workforce and health system administrators contribute to enhancing the ability to meet the health system towards covering the entire population healthcare (UHC) in low-income and middle-income countries.


Deployment of research projects on violence at the workplace for public health employees (27/07/2015)

For about two decades until now, violence at the workplace was concerned by the international community, including violence in the health sector. Many large-scale researches has shown that health care staff is one of the groups facing highest risk of violence at workplace in comparison with other sectors. In Viet Nam, there has no specific researches about this issue, however, many people’ve claimed that recently violence at work place to health care staff is increased significantly in both quantity and seriousness. The number of cases were published in mass media are just the floating ice of the iceberg.


Via the National topic of Science and Technology: “Research building package of basic health services towards covering the entire population of health care based on health insurance in Vietnam” (08/06/2015)

The objective of covering the whole population health is the common goal of most countries around the world, in which all citizens are guaranteed to use health services when in need without discrimination treatment and does not depend on the affordability; the comprehensive health services including improving health services, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and palliative care with good quality to be effective in improving the health of the users; and the use of these services does not make people encountering financial difficulties.


Acceptance report research subjects: “Assessment of organizational situation, manpower backup networks and treatment of endocrine diseases” (13/05/2015)

On 27/4/2015, the Health Strategy and Policy Institute conducting test the project “Assessment of organizational situation, manpower backup networks and treatment of endocrine diseases”. This is the grassroots theses by the Ministry of Health directing Health Strategy and Policy Institute in collaboration with the Hospital of Endocrinology to implementing the research.


Working with Brien Holden Vision Institute (dated 04/03/2015) (14/04/2015)

At the meeting, Ms. Vu Thi Minh Hanh introduced the position, role, functions and organizational structure of the Health Strategy and Policy Institute. Huynh Phuong Ly expressed a wish in the future the Institute will be the partner on counseling advocacy for human resources training industry refractive ophthalmology and development of refractive services in Vietnam. Talking to Head of Representative Office Brien Holden Vision Institute of Vietnam, Vu Thi Minh Hanh said the Health Strategy and Policy Institute will support the Brien Holden Vision Institute in advocacy policy in the field of training of human resources for refraction Ophthalmology in Vietnam


Conference Strethening Healthcare at Grassroots level for Primary Healthcare toward Universal health coverage (Thua Thien Hue, 24 -25/03/2015). (07/04/2015)

In two days 24 and 25/03/2015, in Hue City, Thua Thien Hue province, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), European Union (EU), and the World Bank (WB) has organized an international conference on “Conference Strethening Healthcare at Grassroots level for Primary Healthcare toward Universal health coverage”. Attending were Mr. Vu Duc Dam - Secretary of Party - Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien - Secretary of the Party - the Minister of Health, the Deputy Minister of Health and more than 300 delegates from the Party, National Assembly, Government, Ministries and central agencies, local and international organizations in Vietnam, international experts…
