HSPI’s new Director appointment annoucement ceremoney
On 9 December 2013, Health Strategy and Policy Institute (HSPI) held an official announcement ceremony about the decision of the Minister of Health appointing Dr. Tran Thi Mai Oanh, Deputy Director of HSPI, as the new director of the Institute in the presence of Prof. Dr. Le Quang Cuong - Vice Minister of Health (MOH); Mr. Pham Van Tac - Director of Department of Organization and Personnel, Dr. Nguyen Ngo Quang –Deputy Director of the Administration for Science, Technology and Training; Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Binh - Deputy Chief of the Cabinet Office of the Ministry of Health; HSPI vice directors, leaders of departments and researchers.
At the meeting, on behalf of Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Le Quang Cuong - Vice Minister of Health has awarded the appointment decision of Minister of Health to Dr. Tran Thi Mai Oanh, the new Director of Health Strategy and Policy Institute. The Vice Minister expressed his expectation that Dr. Tran Thi Mai Oanh who was experienced in acting as a deputy director of HSPI and professional research expertise will work together with vice directors and staff of the Institute to successfully develop the Institute to be a well-known research institute. The Institute’s capacity of evidence provision to inform health policy making will be further enhanced, contributing to the achievement of health sectors’ objectives in the coming time.
Dr. Tran Thi Mai Oanh expressed her sincere thanks to leaders of Ministry of Health, her colleague Institute leaders and the whole staff for their belief in her and promised that the Institute and herself will continue its traditional consensus relationship among colleagues, and put more efforts in research quality improvement to enhance the role of the Institute in the assigned mission of providing evidences for health policy making.
